Par gaidāmo seminārā: In this presentation, Vicky Garnett, DARIAH-EU's Training and Education Officer, will discuss the broad landscape of online learning and training provision for Digital Humanities. She will then focus specifically on DARIAH Campus, and how this meets the needs of various user-types across the European Digital Arts and Humanities community.
Par semināra vadītāju: Vicky Garnett is the Training and Education Officer for DARIAH-EU, the European digital research infrastructure for the arts and humanities. Within her role, Vicky manages the DARIAH Campus platform, as well as participating in projects such as EOSC-Futures and CLS-Infra. Her previous roles include developing, editing and managing the PARTHENOS Training Suite and the training content within it as part of the PARTHENOS-EU project, and evaluating user needs as part of the Europeana-Cloud project. She also ran the one-off 3-day 'International Spatial Humanities Camp' (iSHCamp) workshop in 2018, and is currently a co-chair in the UK/Ireland Digital Humanities Association 'Protecting the Investigator in Traumatic Research Areas" community interest group. Vicky has both a PhD and an MPhil in Linguistics, both from Trinity College Dublin, and a BA Hons in English Language and Linguistics from Lancaster University: a mono-disciplined background that, in her own words, shows "either a life-long passion for the subject, or a complete lack of imagination!".
